Gdańsk University of Technology Library conducted a webinar on the outcomes of the BE OPEN project and TOPOS
On the 28th of June 2021 the Gdańsk University of Technology Library conducted an online webinar on the outcomes of the BE OPEN project (European forum and oBsErvatory for OPEN science in transport) and its tool – TOPOS, the Transport Observatory / fOrum for Promoting Open Science.
During that hour-long event, its moderators: dr. Anna Wałek, Director of the Gdańsk University of Technology Library, Magdalena Szuflita-Żurawska and dr. Piotr Krajewski from the GUT Library Scientific and Technical Information Services Department talked about: the scope and objectives of the BE OPEN project as well as the concept, features and functionalities of the TOPOS repository.
The two major components of TOPOS have been presented and discussed:
- the TOPOS Forum (public and private) : a platform for the exchange of views and experiences on transport between scientists, entrepreneurs, representatives of government agencies and non-governmental organizations
- the TOPOS Observatory, which aim is to showcase the status and progress of Open Science uptake in transport research.
The event was open, conducted in Polish and it was attended by librarians and researchers mainly. In the end of webinar there were questions on the TOPOS possibilities and TOPOS Forum usage.
The Gdańsk University of Technology is a Third party in the "BE OPEN European forum and oBsErvatory for OPEN science in transport" project.
