Ahead of the Open Science Conference organised in the context of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union (Présidence française du Conseil de l'Union européenne) on 4-5 February, the EUA published its Open Science Agenda 2025.

It defines the Association’s priorities in this field and describes the current context, challenges and developments envisaged for the coming years. In addition, it outlines the actions EUA will take to drive this agenda forward.

The EUA Open Science Agenda 2025 sets three major priority areas on Open Science in the future:
1. Open Access to scholarly outputs in a just scholarly publishing ecosystem,
2. FAIR research data, and
3. Research assessment. Emerging areas in Open Science are also considered.
